Shah Rukh Khan makes a comeback to the silver screen after a sabbatical of about half a decade. The patriotic thriller marks his third release in 2023 and puts on the platter suspense, action, and drama.

Reacting to fans' positive response after watching Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan shared a note on X (formerly known as Twitter). He wrote, "Thank you for all the love and appreciation for #Jawan!! Stay safe and happy… Please keep sending in the pics and videos of all of you enjoying the movies…. And I will be back soon to see all of them! Until then… Party with Jawan in the theatres!! Lots of love and gratitude!"

Jawan box office business on Wednesday

With the current figures, the the total business of Jawan in all languages, in India, currently stands at ₹ 366.08. While the business on Wednesday is slightly lower than the Tuesday numbers, there is no stopping for the film. It's likely to break even more records as it will pick up better numbers on the upcoming weekend.

While a detailed report is yet to be out after the last show of Wednesday, the portal reported an overall occupancy of 19.85% in Hindi on the seventh day. On Tuesday, the film performed well and recorded a collection of ₹26 crore net in India.

Jawan debuted last Thursday, on the holiday of Janmashtami, when it made Rs 75 crore nett in India — the biggest-ever debut for a Hindi film. It peaked on day three, when it made Rs 80 crore across India. Jawan also earned the distinction of having grossed over Rs 100 crore globally on its first three days of release. Collections refused to tank even as it entered the week; Jawan made Rs 32 crore in India on Monday and Rs 26 crore on Tuesday. Wednesday’s occupancy for the Hindi-language release was 23%, with the night shows once again accounting for the biggest returns. Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, the film’s two most lucrative regions, reported occupancy of 24% and 25%, respectively.

 

Jawan Story:

Jawan is a 2023 Bollywood action thriller film written and directed by Tamil director Atlee Kumar. Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara starred in the lead roles, along with Yogi Babu, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and many others in supporting roles. G. K. Vishnu handled the cinematography, while Ruben serving as the film's editor. Anirudh Ravichander composed the movie's soundtrack and background tracks. In light of this film, Anirudh is going to be the most wanted music director in Bollywood. Anirudh also performed a song with Jonita Gandhi, Kaala Bhairava, and Abhishek Nailwal in this film. The action scene was directed by Yannick Ben, and the song lyrics were written by Kumaar. This movie was produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment. This movie has a significant Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theatrical release and is distributed by AA Films and Yash Raj Films.

The film took $130 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 so far, according to Box Office Mojo, which tracks film earnings, and the second-highest-grossing Hindi film ever

A Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, 'Jawan' is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film is a commercial entertainer and features SRK in a double role. The film was shot in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film, and made his debut as a solo composer in Bollywood.

Jawan has made me Bekarar Too much violence Too much gore, but there’s no such thing as too much Shah Rukh Khan!

The backdrop with which the movie starts is pure Art!! Was gobsmacked by the cinematography, the set & feel of the tribal Indo-China border & SRK’s ENTRY :

Loads of issues, so hard hitting that when I voiced that it could have been tempered down, my wise little daughter said – Mom, if it is toned down how can it have this heart wrenching impact? For example, for the Farmers back story – How dare we feel we can’t see this, when it is what they LIVE! I cant ever read headlines of a farmers suicide story & chuck the paper aside again without feeling this heart bleed! Beautifully aced by Lehar Khan as the farmers daughter

Woman empowerment! Girls : Ready? Www! The Gang of Girls! Tooo Good

There’s nothing that women can’t do! Including the gorgeous Nayanthara & Deepika “Patko-ing” SRK! Sheer magic

Nayanthara is slick, hot, smouldering, beautiful, accomplished, badass & convincing in her amazing role

Ankhiyon se goli maare types! Full takkar to SRK! Also, I think we are so bored of the same Bolly girl  gang, she comes as a breath of LIRIL freshness. You cant take your eye off her 

Deepika Padukone : what an actress! There is so much power in just her gait, even when they just show her back in a cotton Sari walking in the jail! Brilliant

I’m seeing this South style treatment of a movie for the first time! Its here to stay. They are TOO MUCH & Massey – but too bad, we LIKES!

The Metro hijack is fantastic! Watch out for Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, my ex-neighbour Helena The Techie, who has penned & sung the sexy Spanish song in the end. She’s awesome & THUNDER

Having said that, its a heavy, intense, slap-in-the-face ballsy film! I Loved it but came out feeling heavy & full in chest, heart & mind! Too many scenes I had to not look, I had to say I love you to my daughter many times. My daughter & I could not eat or drink anything ! Such was the weight & fill of the messages😊 Its too much & I don’t think I can see the violence again. But will certainly forward some & see the gems again on OTT! Action – superb

I think a dedicated Director’s cut viewing for Just Politicians is in order

Special mention of the little girl Sujee! What an absolute delight! So nicely they show an unmarried Nayanthara keeping the pregnancy & thank God not giving up Sujee! Such a star
